Sydney City - Night View

If it had happended according to my plan, i should have seen the Simpsons tonight. But something came up from work and i ended up home pretty late. Being stressed and all from work, i had to find something that could relax me and so i went out to take some night shots of Sydney city.

It was 10 degrees outside and i spent about an hour outside trying to take the best photo. Out of 20 shots, these two are the probably the nicest ones.
I realised today, taking photo is a bit like fishing, much cleaner but similar. Similar as in you have to wait. You have to wait for the right moment. You have to wait for the right moment of light, right moment of wind, right moment of extra bits that make the picture extra special. And i guess that's life as well. You have to wait for the right moment for everything. Right moment to fall in love, right moment to move on your career and right moment to get married, right moment to...
So be patient people....you just have to wait for the right moment....
It will happen....you just gotta wait....that's all.

Sydney Harbour

I've just bought a Nikon D80 DSLR (Digital SLR) camera this weekend. I've been looking, researching, asking around and studing to buy a DSLR for about six months now and finally i have bought the camera. I have also been planning to open up a new blog, with posts in English, as highly recommended by a friend but because i wanted it to be a blog with lots of photos, i couldn't start one until i bought meself a camera. But, finally, here it is. Ta da~

Because i was so excited by the fact that i could start up my new hobby of taking photos, when i arrived home soon after buying the camera, i asked my parents if they wanted to go out to Darling Harbour with me so that 1. i could spend some quality time with them 2. so that i could take some nice photos of Sydney harbour.

I imagined my parents sitting at a coffee shop relaxing and chatting away, where they could have some nice cheesecake and coffees and me running around Darling Harbour all cheerful taking heaps of photos.

But, something was not right. As mum was preparing to leave the house, she took some different tops/jumpers with her and put her make up on, putting extra effort to look extra pretty. As i figured out later, mum wanted me to take some photos of her so that she could post some pictures on her Korean highschool friends homepage.

So the day turned out where it wasn't about going out to take photos of what i wanted to take but more what mum suggested i should take and of herself. I have exaggerated a bit here, but end of the day, 90% of the photos i took was of mum or what she suggested. T.T;

The photos on this post are from the remaining 10% of the photos i took on this weekend. Likely, when we went to Darling Harbour, there was a sailing coffee cruise which was at 2 for 1 price. That's why you won't see much photos of Darling Harbour but the Sydney Harbour.
